The Art Of Reality

A lot of people can say what's reality and what's illusion. For example we can differentiate what's shown in a movie and what we do in our life. But what do we call reality? Our routine that consists of many events, or something different?

This post is more philosophical. So first of all, how do we take information about the surroundings? Through our 5 senses. We see something, here something, etc. But is it truly real? The information that we gain may be misleading.
For example we see dreams and sometimes we can't even think about it as not real. Dreams sometimes are seen as reality and not made up world. So what we see as reality, may be dream itself. Well some of you may think, that science can say when we dream and when not, but what if it's the science that obeys the rules of dreams? What i want to say is, that the proving system may be made in a dream and may not be true reality.

"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." - Neil DeGrasse Tyson. The information about facts, that we get through our senses may be misleading as i made a point above. How can we say that exactly how our senses work in correlation with our surroundings?

Rene Descartes made the same point. You can't trust your senses because there was a time, when they lied to you, for example, dreams. So there is a speculation that our senses are lying to us, sometimes or always. We can never be sure on what's really true. Although he says that there is one thing that is undoubtedly true. The statement "I think therefore I am." Even if our senses are lying to use there needs to exist something that these lies are effecting. So when you think that automatically means that you exist. It doesn't matter in what form you exist, what matters is, that you are.

So we need to be more careful on what we say that is real and what's not. But also we cannot say what's not real. The main problem that i am trying to convey is that we can never be certain what is for sure.
