Hope Is For Losers
Screw Hope
Before you react or think to trigger yourself, pause and take a deep breath. You might be thinking, Who in their right mind would condemn such a thing as hope?! After only reading the headline, one may feel compelled to unfriend, dislike, or punch a horse, but here on Steemit, people listen and respect the opinions of others. At least that's what I keep hearing, so lemme just share this thought real quick.
I've noticed several times lately that when I'm writing and use the word 'hope' in a thought, I find myself pausing to consider the word and its actual meaning. The definition suggests that there is 'expectation' of a desired outcome, but come on...the greater feeling attached to hope is dread. The dread of things not going the way you want, the fear of failure, the anxiety of the unwanted.
I'm no levitating guru of metaphysics (yet), but I can tell you that I am aware enough to know that manifestation first starts in the mind with an idea. You think, Oh please, please, please, please don't let my kid be a loser. I HOPE he is successful and a great contribution to society. Sure, you 'hope', but much more than that you just don't want him to be a loser, so you're really considering failure, not success or the expectation of a positive outcome.
So when I've found myself using the word hope, I really saw it as an inversion of its intended meaning. I don't want to hope, I want to believe! I want to know and feel it in my heart, mind and soul that what I want will come to pass. I don't need hope. Hope is for losers.
I initially had no intention of mentioning a certain president who used the word on his campaign posters because I think the concept is strong enough on its own, but I thought of those posters and how much hope it gave people, but what exactly were the campaign promises that were kept by this president? Are we still hoping? Was the word always meant to conjure up feelings of failure and this unsettling thought that, You can hope, but probably shouldn't expect anything? And if subconsiously we expect nothing, then we aren't disappointed when we get nothing.
In it's truest sense, hope is okay, but belief is better. Try substituting one word for the other. Belief is stronger and feels much, much better. Can you feel it?

I just realized my silly mistake. In my previous post I didnt include the code that would justify text. Silly me.
Here is short article I've found that explain how to do it:

Oh and I also wanted to thank you for your comment in my latest contest. I appreciate your time and support. Cheers! :)
Yours,
Hey, thanks for the tip. I will definitely try it and it's funny because I've worked in publishing and spent years as a graphic designer and have a lot of thoughts about justified text. In blocks of text I've always hated it for some reason, but I've not really considered what would be more attractive to other people or if it's really easier to read. Thanks!
Again Im glad I could help.
Would you mind sending me short email to [email protected]? I would lovef to be able to keep in touch and support each other on Steemit.
I wish there would be more advanced notification system developed by steemit.
No pressure of course :)
Cheers, Piotr
Excellent. I emailed you.
You're totally right. I justified my text on my most recent post and it looks a lot better. I've been converted. Thanks!
hahahaha Im glad I managed to convert you hahahaha
