Hermetic Monument to Pythagoras AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

The Rosicrucian Garden in San Jose, California is a wonderful space tucked behind the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum. Surrounded by pomegranite trees and art of symbolic significance, the garden dedicates one area to Pythagoras. There stands a statue of the philosopher pointing to the heavens and below to earth, the material world. The sculpture itself sits in the center of a six-pointed star and directly between two columns, offering more layers of symbolism.

Some interesting research on the rules of the pythagorean order show how similar they are to some Hindu rules. Perhaps it would have been wiser to have avoided the split between western and eastern philosophies.

I guess it's now just up to the individual to figure some of these things out. As it has always been, some things need to be discovered on our own; they seem to have more power that way. At least that's how it's worked for me.

Yes, the great work needs to be done by oneself, but it would also help if the general culture was not so obviously against any self-power.

Your post has been included in my latest AAKOM Curated Resteems post.

I don't think it's obvious to them that they are against self-power. They just don't know what power is. Thanks for the curation!
