Are We Living In a Simulated Reality?

in #philosophy7 years ago (edited)

Tom Campbell & Bruce Lipton, two experts in the simulated reality theory discuss their thoughts and ideas behind why they believe it to be true.

In my opinion it's all about information (basic piece of information - energy). Life came out from information (something mental), and will return to information.
Look how organisms evolve, where priority is to create a better language, better communication. This scheme repeats itself in a fractal way: where individuals/units with limited perception find such a way of communicating that they begin to form a single system with expanded perception. So basically life is heading to answer itself what we really are :)

Next step I see, people will be like neurons in the brain... I mean we will be directly connected to the AI trough brain - computer interface, and we will be givers of perceptions of "reality" to the AI.
AI (or network of Artificial Intelligences) will compile all these perceptions, and trough blockchain system will create consensus reality/perception. Who knows... maybe we are in this system right now? ;)

Exactly as you said. Perception. I guess simply it is what you want it to be. The power of the positive mind if you think it you can be it, the reverse also applies. Personally however I don't believe that we are living in some sort of 'truman show' or hologram as many pundits have predicted. Great post. Cheer$:)

Agree! Reality is more mental, than we used to think it is ;)
