Very good post! There is so much truth in this...and I do believe we are the universe experiencing itself. All one has to do is remove the "I" from the eye to see it clearly. The ego filters our experience to make it seem like "something is happening to ME!" , when in fact there is nothing happening to anyone because there is no such thing as "I" as an individual. The mind is what creates this illusion of identity. The truth is that all is self, no exceptions!
