The New World Order

Premise 1:
We are entering a New World Order. That is, humanity is entering a new phase that is different from anything to have come before, in this generation.
First, we are interconnected as never before; we can communicate with anyone on the planet in seconds for negligible cost. Second, there are no new "terra icognita"s to conquer and exploit. Third, even if there were, it is no longer acceptable to do so. Fourth, we are running at the limit of what our ecosystem can absorb with "business as usual".
Premise 2:
The old way of doing things is not working.
Capitalism is generating lower returns for everyone but the upper 1% of humanity, leading to a lower quality of life for the many. And by many, read, almost everyone. Not only personal wealth, but also relationships, health, and environment are being degraded. We simply need to change.
Premise 3:
Cultural memes dictate the way we do things.

I believe that the obvious follow-on from all three of these points is that we need to change our cultural memes to improve life for all and adapt to the new situation facing us all, and we need to do that quickly, or we are all toast.
