For me Bitcoin is too anarchistic in a bad way. It doesn't have a proper governance mechanism which makes things like branding very difficult to do.

Recently I wrote a post about a model for designing blockchain/DAO governance. You might want to read it, I think it somewhat aligns with your thoughts. Although it is quite hard to use for Bitcoin because it would require so big changes, so it's mostly suitable only for new blockchains.
