Do agree gifts can be a blessing or a curse depending on the situation. I once considered an occupation in social work. After some study I realized that my empathetic nature could be as much a liability as asset. A higher level of self care would be required to not let the job leave me in the doldrums. The satisfaction of helping would be overcome by the feelings of loss and misery that they would be seeking council for. I changed my path after much thought on taking up the challenge.
