As you stated it's law that is unfair, not good or bad cops. They are just normal people of all kinds doing their hard job so they have adopted to it like soldiers must too. We should protest against law, not about police.
the cops/soldiers cannot be absolved of responsibility simply because they are "following orders" they are just as fair a target for protest as the law itself, for they are the enablers/enforcers of it, without which the leaders in Washington wouldn't be able to accomplish much harm.... :)
