Still, the rule applies. Don't harm other people and/or creature. Why? Because if you do and you got away with it, it may not directly happen to you but others may see it and think it's okay so they will do it, too, and so the ripple effect is in motion. The rule does not necessarily mean you per se but in general. What we say and do affect others. We are linked in an invisible web that one action affects as all. Now, imagine what a little kindness can do. :)
