I think you might have missed the part where it says that the poorer you are, the happier you'll be in heaven. Don't you know that your rich neighbor who lives such a happy life here on Earth will go to Hell? Even if you break your back working hard all your life and you're dirt poor and your kids are hungry, you're still better off than your neighbor. Not only accept your miserable fate, be happy you're poor!
