Would You Trade Your Life To Save Someone Else?

SACRIFICE means to give up something valuable to help another person. Lets evaluate the word VALUE for a second, in simple terms value means worth or importance, so what's the most valuable thing in the world to you today? Could it be that sports car in your garage? Those diamond earings you held on to after the divorce? an art work, a family heirloom? Well let's be honest "LIFE" is the most valuable thing you own, without you cease to exist.

So let's put it to the test and with all honesty, if it where you and someone else in a life and death situation would you sacrifice yourself to keep that person alive? Remember the Titanic movie where Jack had to let Rose stay afloat so she wouldn't die, a heart breaking scene that brought tears to millions of viewers round the globe, could you be someone else's Jack or do you value your life way over everyone else's, family, friend or total stranger.

I know many would religiously lean to the belief that intentionally giving up ones life is considered suicide and based on their religious belief it is forbidden. So let me say this, remove religion from your response and let's see if your answers may be different, or what are the circumstances where you'd consider?
