Time, the Success Factor
No one wants to feel that he or she is not in control. When at work, you want to be in control of the project you are leading. You don’t want someone to snatch it off from your hand.
What if it is something you know how to do but it is not you to call the shots; it is someone else’s project instead? So do you quietly keep your mouth shut, feeling depressed on the side?
It can be someone holding the authority, but you can still act as if you have your hand on the reins as well. You can still participate with your thoughts. If your suggestions are thrown back, at least you know that you have voiced what you thought. What has been thrown back to you may one day be accepted, at the right time, and the credit would still be given back to you.
Time often is the main factor. When the environment is ready, your idea will be viewed as the solution. When time is in the formula, patience, the cousin of time, is always walking along on the side.
