While I don't disagree with the premise, the type of person that feels entitled, especially someone who games the system to achieve their own selfish ends, I do feel the need to ask. Have you ever seen corporate welfare? Subsidies (tax dollars) handed out to the tune of 1000% more than what is spent on social welfare.

Sure the argument can be made that at least they contribute something back to the economy. Well, so does every other working citizen, however they aren't given relevant tax breaks nor leniency under the IRS.

IMO, this is where the failing of communities furthers poverty and crime. Losing the value of home and neighbor while new generations sprout up in ignorance and despair.

I guess what I meant to say is that it's a top down problem, not a bottom up, even thought I also think that it can only be fixed from the bottom up to the top which your post seems to indicate is also the same goal!

Fix the problem, not the symptom.

Agreed, so many times we address the symptom of an issue without addressing the actual issue. When I say I want a system revamp I know it will never happen and now the elephant in the room has gotten to big to control. Couple that will the multitude of other issues and the problems are overwhelming and can't be controlled anymore. Just like I told @everittdmickey we are past the tipping point and I fear we are beyond help with our system and society as a whole. We are on a crash course for destruction but no one seems to see or care except a few that are awake. Time for all of us to start praying, not to be rescued from our current situation but for our salvation.
