I agree many people including myself act on their emotions and are irrational. A point that you didn't touch on though is how emotions can be right sometimes, emotions such as faith and trust. Sometimes we have to make irrational decisisions as it is the best option. Yes rational and logical reasoning gets us the most correct result a lot of the time but not all the time!
Faith and trust is something that every human being must have. When we act irrationally, it is when we do things quickly without thinking about our actions. You are a person who has confidence and your faith is based on what you believe whose emotions makes you reason correctly..
