Late Night Steem Cafe #3: Fine Lines
The sun has set and time slows. You pause on that path you trod to contemplate the journey before your trip to the dreamtime. I see that path has brought you here. Welcome again traveler, seeker, young blood.
You may not think you're young, but you are. Younger than this place, certainly. The first brick was laid long before your ancestors huddled in the dark beneath the stars. Before that, it was other things by other names. You know, now that I look again I suppose there is a certain age in your eyes. It's not too surprising. Life is no easy thing, traveler, and nor is counting the days.
There's a seat here, always a seat here, for you.
We're nearly empty, anyway. Same as usual. This cafe might be a cup that never fills.
Well, if you're up, have a thought. If you've no thoughts, take someone else's. Don't stand out there in the cold.

There is a fine line between solitude and loneliness. One is too much of the other. Or perhaps both are good for you. Reminders that even with all the petty annoyances of company, a long absence thereof can be somewhat ruinous. If you have thoughts, share them. However I have no shame in shouting to a silent space.
