All emotions are acceptable, but not all behaviors are

We all have the right to feel any kind of emotion, we all have experiences that make us live in our body and mind different feelings. Indeed, all emotions we experience are acceptable, but we can not accept all forms of expression or channeling behaviors that can emerge from these emotions.

Our job is to identify the emotions, to recognize them before they dominate us and we can not impose our control. From there, being able to find a way out that will not hurt anyone and allow us to express, control and channel what we feel.

Emotions sometimes arise without us being able to anticipate them. We almost automatically feel anger, we feel hatred, we want revenge, and it's not that we should not feel that way. Letting them take control is another thing. To feel means to be alive, to experience it in ourselves is to feel that something is important to us; this is natural, but at a time when emotions take control of us and make us talk without being able to stop, think and calm down, they lose all their positive power, and therefore all our actions that flow from them lose their value.

Can emotions be controlled?

Some emotions arise without us realizing it, almost automatically, they appear almost instantly when the action occurs. For example, we see a person following us in a dark street and fear appears, they give us a present and we are happy.

The way we talk to each other, in other words our way of thinking, allows us to reinforce what we feel, makes us analyze the situation and contributes to the appearance of certain emotions or others. For example, if we continue to walk in this dark street and we see someone behind us, we can calm our fear if we think or we say that it is someone who lives in the building to left, as opposed to thinking that he is walking right behind us and carries a weapon to attack us.

Therefore, our emotions can sometimes appear instantly, but our response will be measured in terms of our thoughts and our inner intervention, and this is where our leeway lies. Take our time to analyze how we feel, and why, give space to emotion and measure by thought so that a direct link is created between emotion and action. Indeed, our power lies in reconsideration and taking a moment to act.

All behaviors are not justifiable

The mistake is perhaps to think that feeling something gives us the right to act as we wish when in reality the freedom of our actions ends where others begin, and that is why emotion can never justify a violation of the rights of others. The power of our freedom also lies in the control of our actions.

We can feel anger, resentment, hatred, and this is something acceptable, but it will never be acceptable to hurt others because of this frustration or anger unless it is This is an act of self-defense. Any emotion is justifiable but not all behaviors are.

Therefore, it is our duty to learn to channel all the emotions that hurt us, to find them a beneficial outcome for all, an issue that relieves us and allows us to express what we feel. All our power lies in us and in the management we do of what happens there. We are free to feel, and even to recreate ourselves in any kind of emotion, but we are also responsible for the actions we take as a result of these.

So, the idea is to see the real motivation behind our actions, and if we do that, it will be easier for us to understand and forgive the actions of our fellows...

Very good message. This goes in line with the idea that we can not control our life circumstances, but we can control how we react, which makes all the difference.

We hear countless stories of great individuals who were told they would never amount to anything. Instead of using that anger for unproductive actions, they used it to fuel them thorough hardships until they arrived at their present success.

I recently wrote an article titled, The Life-Threatening Voyage. It also explores motivation and determination. I think you may find it interesting. Let me know what you think!
