This has been the biggest epiphany of my time here in China.
And it doesn't have to do with the fact that I'm a social recluse, or that I don't get out much despite being 22.
It has to do with the fact that I realize nobody can do anything for us that we cannot do for ourselves.
Everything that we desire, everything we dream of, everything we wish we had...
It does not exist outside of us...
No.
It exists within us as a field of potentiality.
Other people may help us achieve our ends, but they remain our ends;
Without this coordinator, this SOUL pulling the strings behind the scenes, none of it would happen!
Here is another epiphany.
Morality is not the same ethics.
Ethics are social constructs and conventions that we agree upon with other people.
Morality, on the other hand, is an entirely subjective feeling.
This is the huge mistake that spiritually aware human beings make is thinking that God is separate from us, and that therefore morality and ethics are the same thing... This is wrong.
What is right for me might be wrong for somebody else, and we can only know what is right for ourselves by accepting that we have to make up our own mind about what is good for ourselves.
At the end of the day, other people will do what they want to do... Everybody does and needs to do things in their own way.
By accepting ourselves and the way we want to do things, we free ourselves from the need to judge other people.
I've struggled a lot with this need to be as good as others.
And what I'm realizing
Is that there is nobody else to be better to.
The only person we can be better than is ourselves.
Take a look at your life.
You like certain things and dislike other things.
But it's not until you start denying yourself what you like and privileging things you don't like that we run into the trouble of ethics...
Ethics are an interesting branch of philosophy and can certainly help us improve our lives by leaps and bounds.
But it is our own acceptance of our own inner emotional morality that can allow us to find happiness in the moment and find fulfillment in the experiencing of a version of ourselves which we can love which is the purpose of morality...
Ethics happens in the brain.
Morality happens in the heart.
Sometimes we can reason a course of action that ultimately will bring us happiness.
But most times, it's down to following our moral compass...
We have to learn to really listen to ourselves...
Because no matter how much something works for somebody else, that thing which they are doing will not work for us
THE ONLY THING THAT CAN WORK FOR US IS THE WAY THAT WE WANT TO DO THINGS.
When we do things in our own way, we create the space for ourselves to be exactly and absolutely the way the Universe, God and Our Higher Self wants us to be... The way we were designed, created, formed and made incarnate.
This is why I believe now that everything works out exactly the way we want it to only when we do it the way that is in alignment with the way we want it to be.
Sometimes other people's words and opinions end up inspiring us... They end up speaking to our own moral compass, to our Heart, to our Higher Consciousness and Soul.
This is because we have manifested this experience from our own inner desire... But the reason what they share with us resonates is because it is exactly in alignment with what we have inside of ourselves... The idea or feeling are so closely related that in proximity with each other they begin to resonate in harmony... This is what happens when two very similar frequencies are placed together... Their frequencies oscillate and create harmonics.
Other times, other people's words are merely the result of their own projections onto us. Their frequencies and our frequencies are out of synch, and do not complement each other at all...
Then what we are left with is ego and the ego projection mechanism where we either accept someone else's frequency and stop vibrating on our own level and vibrate at theirs (and hence lose our own sense of morality and accept somebody else's); or we resist their own frequency and actually try to change theirs (by hooking onto each other's egos and fighting a war of cognitive dissonance).
What we are left with is a vibrational cacophony. A dissonance. A discord. A struggle for energy as each side is trying to subvert the natural rhythm and melody of the other person's soul.
This is all wrong
Yes other people can enlighten and inspire us and help us uncover aspects of ourselves we ignored were there...
But other people can never raise and inspire something out of us that was never there to begin with.
Hear what other people have to say; but listen to yourself first
What other people claim and believe is rumor, here-say, probably lies...
The only truth we can know for sure is the one that resonates with ourselves... Whether it comes to us from an exterior source or from deep within ourselves...
The only source of objective and true knowing is in our Heart.
It is the Moral Compass; Morality, which should direct and lead our lives...
Nothing else.
All I'm saying is this. Fuck it what other people think... We can't do anything about what any of us thinks... Thoughts arise as assuredly as the rise and set of the Sun. Shall we sit here and live our lives according to other people's light? Why? What possible use could there be to being put on Earth than to express our True Selves, fearlessly, shamelessly, unabashedly and unapologetically. We cannot ignore Natural Law... For every action we take there will be a reaction. For every decision, there will be a consequence... So what? Let the world do as the world does, and let us do as we do. As Human Beings we were gifted the instinct to deal with absolutely any situation life can possibly throw at us... And every situation life throws at us IS unarguably for the betterment and collective evolution of the Universe... This is the game of Life, the game of Spirit, the game of God. When we learn to recognize that we are indeed God playing a game of hide-and-go-seek with ourselves, we realize that this is all just an intricate play... A fantastic drama... An riveting tale... A magical adventure... So stop holding yourself back and just start living it... Think before you speak, but ultimately speak your mind... Consider before you act, but ultimately, act as you will... The Universe favors the Brave and Faithful. We're not supposed to be terrified of Life... Terrified of Death... Terrified of the Night... Terrified of Ourselves... We're supposed to Love and Accept all that Is Unconditionally; and through this Great Understanding, to Become Completely Free

Wow, it is as if you have been reading my mind. I have come to many of the same understandings that you speak of. Also I am elated that you mention frequencies. I feel that it is so important that we have an understanding of our frequency, and how to adjust it to fit our needs.
You mentioned harmony, and I would like to expand on that a little from my perspective. As I discussed in my post about energy, we all have a resonate frequency, unbeknown to most but this frequency is a big part of what we use to manifest everything in our lives. As you point out it is all about harmonics.
Just like in music some notes just do not work together. This too is true with people based on the differing resonate frequencies. If we are in a group of people with a much lower frequency than ours I have noticed certain patterns. First if the higher frequency does not understand the control they have over their own energy, most likely you will see this persons frequency drop closer to the crowds. If the person is aware of the power they have over their own energy they can in fact raise the crowds frequency all by themselves
Through my observations I have noticed that once we are aware of our power, we are more able to influence the "ambient energy" around us. In a sense putting ourselves in a bubble of higher frequency energy. If we then, through intention, and with purpose, direct some of that same energy towards others while expanding the bubble around us, we can affect those around us that are susceptible to our frequency. By that I mean depending on our frequency as to what other frequencies we can affect.

Could not agree more.
We do have an incredible degree of influence we can exert on ambient/atmospheric vibes. But it does take conscious intent and wisdom to pull off... For example, I learned this from someone who resonates on a very similar frequency to myself.
We can listen to somebody else's speech, and without judgment or disapproval, slowly probe their prejudices by asking questions that are pertinent to the underlying energetic vibes controlling our frequencies.
For example imagine we are talking about somebody who was traumatized by abandonment in their youth and have trust and intimacy issues... Consciously speaking, there are questions and perspectives that can be ever so subtly suggested and hinted at... The conversation can naturally then flow in the direction of healing and empathy, as opposed to excesses of shadow-material projection...
The key is to maintain our own high-level energy because otherwise our energy will get sucked out of us and we will feel drained.
Practicing non-attachment, non-judgment, non-confrontation, I think essentially reflect this energetic bubble we can foster; where we simply do not allow other's to dominate the energy space while also making sure we don't try to dominate it in an ego-duality energetic dissonance.
Very spot on and I agree this worldview is certainly a part of the coming paradigm shift... When we start looking at the world as frequency and resonance; our range of experience and manifestation is no longer bounded by Newtonian mechanistic market push-pull competition factors at all... We no longer need to divide and limit ourselves through ideology and other forms of energetic pattern-setting, and we can become individualized and express our own unique energetic patterns the way we see fit for our lives
We just have to become masters of this stuff :)
