FRIDAY 13th 1307

For those of you who must have read Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown I am quite certain that this date rings a bell. According to the history explored in the book, the Oct Friday 13th 1307 was the very day that the Templar Grand Master Jacques de Molay was arrested along with thousands of other Knight Templars were put to death for Satanism and other crimes. The knights whose sole aim was to protect the Holy Grail (the cup at which Jesus drank from at the last supper)

However, deep secrets were revealed in the book that the chalice goes beyond the cup at which Christ drank from in the last supper. As demonstrated by the Artiste Leonardo Da Vinci, in his painting the last supper, there was exactly 13 cups on the table.

It is believed by the author that the Chalice holds deeper secret of Christ that the world do not know. Such secrets are written in ancient documents, that only the templars are aware of. In a bid to protect these secrets from coming out to the open the Knights were ordered to be killed by King Philip IV of France in collaboration with the Pope Clement V.

All contain 13 letters. And, in case you were wondering: Adolf Hitler's baptismal name was Adolfus Hitler.

Most recent evidence of this fact is SADDAM HUSSEIN whose name contains 13 letters and was captured on 13th December, 2003.

JAPANESE SCARE

In Japan, the numbers 4 and 9 are considered unlucky, not because 13 can be represented as sum of these two perfect squares but because of their pronunciation. In Japanese, four is pronounced as shi which is the same pronunciation as death. Nine is pronounced ku which has the same pronunciation as
torture.

You should also know that Ku pronounced in Yoruba too means Death.

You should know that there is a word coinage for the phobia of the number 13, which is Triskaidekaphobia. Yes, there are people and organization who wants nothing to do with the number 13.
In most establishment in the united state, it is evident that the floors don't have the number 13th. Some are carefully replaced by 12a or 12½.

It is also believe that it was for the fear of the number 13 that Microsoft choose their recent edition to be version 14. Well, only the producers could really attest to this fact.

However, there are still good and positive thing about the number 13, which will be discuss in the second part of this work.
