What is your understanding of meditation?steemCreated with Sketch.

A lot of people are sure they know what it means and feels to meditate. (most end up contemplating, which could also be a great way to meditate when done right. )
I've been thinking of more modern definitions and I believe I found one.

To me its "Continuous uninterrupted use/application of consciousness". - Does this mean anything to anybody?

How do you describe meditation?

Sort:

Meditative state is the highest state of existence. So long as there is desire, no real happiness can come. It is only the contemplative, witness-like study of objects that brings to us real enjoyment and happiness. The animal has its happiness in the senses, the man in his intellect, and the god in spiritual contemplation. It is only to the soul that has attained to this contemplative state that the world really becomes beautiful. To him who desires nothing, and does not mix himself up with them, the manifold changes of nature are one panorama of beauty and sublimity.

So many questions..! What is this meditative-contemplative state you are talking about(they are contradictory words in my dictionary :P ) ? how and when do you experience it? What is spiritual - contemplation? What is the soul? ...

Meditative contemplative state means when you are deep into meditation, it's a state when you are apart from your body. You can experience this when you have no thought in your mind. And when you achieve all these things you will be lucky to experience or feel your soul (consciousness).
