Is there a meaning of Philosophy in today's World?

Nowadays, philosophy is somehow not to be honored. Yes, it is studied in schools and universities, but almost always as a secondary or third-degree subject. In fact, it is one of the few disciplines that help to expand, not narrow, the human world view. I remember that when I was studying philosophy at university, I saw this as an incomprehensible, annoying obligation. "What is this philosophy for me?", I mumbled. Still, I had applied with mathematics and I had enrolled to study economics, management, marketing ... What was the connection of philosophy with that ?! It seems no coincidence that when we sometimes say that one who is a "great philosopher," we usually put negative meaning - someone talks too much. The term "wood philosopher" is also known.
I remember, for example, that when I was a primary school student, during a football match in our school yard, a student older than me (and more aggressive) called to me "Come on, play philosopher!" He laughed, as I was trying to explain to him that he had to give more to his teammates and that idea was clearly annoyed by him. Still, philosophy matters. And it's much more important than we tend to give it in everyday life. For example, every clever person should strive to build his personal life philosophy to help him live happily. This means a person has clarity about his core values, basic principles of life, and main goals. And this has a direct connection to philosophy, isn't it? Although the study of philosophy may not lead to the discovery of the meaning of life, the universe and everything else, many philosophers believe it is important for each of us to address such issues.

Over the centuries, philosophy has created some of the most important and original ideas, and its contribution to politics, sociology, mathematics, science and literature is invaluable. Philosophy also offers a good way to learn to think more clearly about a wide range of issues, and its methods of analyzing arguments can be useful in different situations in other areas of life.

Pro and con philosophy

Let's imagine a dialogue between a person who carries out philosophy and one who despises it. What would be their theses?
A negative thesis to philosophy would look like this: There's no point. The time of philosophy has already passed. We are not in Antiquity, to deceive our brains with mythological images and cases, we are not in the Middle Ages to get to know God. We are in the 21st century, the age of technology and science, and if we have to do something, it is to try to develop them and find another billion useful things for man. I do not see how a new philosophy will heal the next cancer patient until science has been trying to do this for a long time. Reorient - we do not need more philosophers, we need scientists. Someone had said that "philosophy is a dead science." I do not know if today's philosophers, if they can be so called, have something else to say about the world. What is left undiscovered, what is left unconfirmed, what have not Kant, Hegel, Aristotle, Plato, and all others?
The very philosophy has begun in the most appropriate era, namely in Antiquity, as a magic, as a word dictated by the gods. It is normal that in the following centuries it was a real whirlwind for people - dictating the moral, divine, ethical, aesthetic and life rules of life. The people's intellect was not as advanced as they were now, and that is why they were content with what they received from the queen's philosophy, the word of nature, of the gods, of the omnipotent, or as they called the subsequent stages. the time to be philosophers Life is too fast and concerned to believe the new pseudo-philosophers, they have hardly spent a lifetime writing for the good or the ethics, the only one we are witnessing is that even philosophy and the new philosophy currents have become a method for additional benefit. Let's leave philosophy finds such as our legacy, not to grow weary with additional volumes and stupid books.

A positive thesis to philosophy would look like this: Only a typical, forgotten representative of this century would have expressed such an opinion. I do not believe anyone can be so blind and so blatant to deny a science that has glorified through the ages and has been recognized by all. The meaning of philosophy can be understood in many different ways. Everyone has the right to be a stoic, a skeptic, a positivist, and to defend his point of view and his meaning, but most importantly, that sense exists. Philosophy has begun human thinking and wandering in the depths of incomprehensible and unfamiliar. She has launched the continual search for answers. She was the first mother of every emerging science. Without it, mathematics, medicine, religion, physics, chemistry, astrology, and so on, could not happen. it would not be possible to have the evolution we have reached at the moment or to find a new cure for any disease! Philosophy is the beginning, and mentioned as such, it deserves universal recognition. It is a false belief that it is a dead science, because in every new age philosophy has embraced the most important and difficult problems of society. It is also in our technological and "unthinkable" age, only in it we can find comfort, it alone can give us answers to the millions of questions and problems that have arisen, whether through accumulated wisdom over the centuries or through the new methods of teaching our consciousness.
The meaning of philosophy is as strong as it was at its appearance (perhaps more). I accept philosophy as a kind of religion - like Christianity like Islam - she preaches no less good and useful ways to follow (except that it retains its meaning over the centuries and does not turn like most religions into a manipulation scheme ). It charges our mind and spirit with all that it needs in order not to lose itself in the many existing false teachings. With her restlessness she gives peace to people. It arranges the scattered and fragmented knowledge that accumulates in our head and gives them meaning.
Who is self-conscious can deny such a hazy thing that he is not even familiar with. Philosophy existed, exists, and will exist. Because of people who constantly love to deny something, thousands of old scriptures and books have been destroyed, destroyed and destroyed (I do not know if anyone has asked how much we have lost through the ages, how much remains hidden from our eyes). It is normal that the profound meaning of philosophy is not familiar to all. However, not everyone has a waking mind and a restless soul. That is what is necessary to discover the meaning of something.

Your philosophical choice is on which side to stand.

did u know that god sits in the shape of the human brain :)

Hehe, yes! The first time I realized this, it became clear to me the laziness of Man and that God / Reason / made every effort to teach us something, but our human race doesn't give a percentage of that effort. And then laughed at this truth very much :D

The reason it's unpopular with the establishment is that it questions everything, they don't like that, much better to tell people "this is how it is"

Yes you are right, but one can freely choose whether to study philosophy or not and no one can impose it on him. :)
