I prefer the existentialists, though. Kant is too much of a square.

With the "Critique of Pure Reason", where he talks about things in themselves, Kant was one the best philosophers of his time. I believe that he wanted to create a bond between traditional Christian beliefs and his work. This is why you can see so much similarities between the golden rule and the categorical imperative.
