Some thinking errors - Making you an expert overthinker
Some people will tell you, they can't stop thinking.
They cannot comprehend what it's like to not think.
What else should you be doing right?
A lot of us have thinking errors.
The first thinking error you might have, making you an expert overthinker. Contemplating on drama, whatever it is. You're always focussing on the bad stuff instead of the good stuff in life. You have this desire to ruminate on things that are broken, that are not fixed yet, the doom and the gloom.
It's what we call the end of the world mindset.
Once you realise that you can't control everything, a weight falls off your shoulders. A weight you didn't even know was pushing you down. When you come to that realization you start to feel more relaxed, healthier, you'll feel better about yourself.
You have to realise that focus is everything.
Focus on what's working and what is not working and that will help you to stop overthinking. Instead of thinking in doom scenarios.
Many times we get into a lot of overthinking at the most inconvenient time.
Let me share an experience I had along my journey.
As soon as you wake up you grab your phone and you think you should do something else in the morning. As you continue wasting your morning away on your phone you start thinking you are not good enough because you're not doing anything productive. This leads to more and more overthinking because now you can't even get out of the house. you just keep thinking and thinking and then the whole day is ruined.
What worked for me and helped me continue my journey was to only look at it once, see if something important has popped up and then just get to the things that are important for me. I do some pushups, some yoga, play with some handstands and then I go for a walk, all of that without even having had breakfast yet. Then I come home to pack the food I prepared the previous evening and get on with my day. The most important things happened, it has suddenly become very hard for anything or anyone to bring down my mood.
People that are productive will generally feel better about themselves and are happier in general. The more you do the better you feel. It is hard to "do stuff", but it works!. Haha.
Some people never have energy, are complaining about everything, not healthy and a toxic factor in the lifes of others.
Some people have a dream, they cut it into pieces which I like to call plans and do whatever they can on a daily basis to get closer to that dream. They always look at the positive side of things, feel healthy and are physically fit. And while working so hard, they help the people around themselves who want to become a better version of themselves.
Believe me... I have some lazy students in my class that are so smart, but are throwing it away! Being positive and doing assignments, whether it be mundane or not, is key. Best wishes!
