Living By Example

Are you changed by the words that other people tell you or are you changed and inspired by the examples that you see around you?

Have you ever had a friend, relative, co-worker or acquaintance, try to give you some unwarranted advice that you maybe would be more inclined to take if the person giving the advice practiced what they themselves preach to others about?

The truth is that we are an example whether we like it or not, but we do have the power to influence whether we are a good or bad example to others.

People live by example when they show kindness to others just because they can, when they forgive people who they don't need to, when they overcome adversity and rise up against the odds, when people choose to love unconditionally it is seen as living by example from others around them.

We don't have to just talk about what we love, we can choose to live a life that speaks by its actions. And sometimes actions are much louder than words.

It is said that setting an example can be a far better means of going about trying to promote an idea or trying to influence others.

Living by example falls into that old motto of being the change that we wish to see in the world. Sometimes people aren't just going to be able to learn by listening, but they will take away much more from the message if they get to actually see it displayed in front of them.
