The cunning. Clever man or Stupid man.

in #philosophy8 years ago (edited)

There is the observation on Lev Tolstoy's "War and Peace" that "in the cunning a stupid man will win from more intelligent."
Interestingly, but I know that this is true. But why?

The foolish man does not see any boundaries, does not see the boundaries of the possible and the impossible. Moral and immoral. The shortest route for him - is straight ahead. There is no question for him - which way to achieve the desired. He sees one path - the shortest.

Clever man hampered by the fact that he more understands and more sees. He sees obstacles - those which can not see the a stupid. He sees a moral impossibility.

A clever man sees more options, more opportunities, it is more difficult to choice, because this choice must meet the criteria of morality, decency, ethics - in the first place. And then - the proportionality of effort and result, the proportionality of risk and many others.

A clever man is cautious and careful in the choice of methods.
A stupid man is not available, he is free from such difficulties.
So often, in fact, in the affairs of a cunning the stupid man wins from more intelligent.
