The United Nations happily tried, convicted and hung lots and lots of Nazi's at Nuremberg after World War Two. Simply for exactly "following orders" like our Service men and women are doing the exact same unlawfulness in Cuba while the machinery that set this evil into operation toutes them as 'heros'.

Since the military seems to lack the ability to understand international law ; as well as it lacks the ability to win wars , I think it important we seperate those 'on the college program' from LEO's...

LEO's are law enforcement officers who often must give out speeding tickets as well as chase bad desperate people down dark alleyways. These often dedicated men and women (let us not forget polive horses and K9's) risk their lives to help out complete strangers.

It takes a certain kind of person to confront an armed bandit, deal with a serious sexual assault victim, go looking for bits of body parts after the train wreck, watch the carnage of high speed vehicles altering human anatomy or simply getting spat upon during a civil rights protest...

To serve and protect is the watch phrase of law enforcement ; sure you are entitled to dislike them as much as I like and respect them. Simply they have earned my respect due to all the trash they have had to endure for the right to wear that badge. Yes you can dislike them ; but who are you gonna call ? : )

The Police are 'Society's Bodyguards' ; sure they may be a little late when you really need them , but unlike your duly elected Congressional Representative at least they will turn up. Plus unlike almost every breathing politican the police will take a lot more risks for your life and safety ; with a lot more professionalism , and , for far less money...
