I find that happiness is irrational, in the sense that the smallest compliment or slight can weigh on our mind, whereas if we make a change in our insurance that will save us thousands over the years we really don't even feel anything about it. It can be a challenge to balance the two, because some are too foolishly sentimental or incitable whereas others too logically cold. Happiness is the journey and the path, and many of us learn from sorrow or deep pain to appreciate the tender happiness of everyday moments and contentment. Peace
