I am really sorry to hear about the cat. Indeed, it is unlucky one.
I do appreciate on your statement "we should not downgrade and judge each other". I'll say it in another word, "we may not underestimate others". It could be she/he is better than us. Also, we can not be so judgemental if we know nothing about her/him. So, let's try to respect each other.

Yes, no one should judge one other.
