Objective moral truth.

Some of the most common rhetoric that people are falsely claiming to be discourse follows the line of, "If you're not x, shut the fuck up." "If you don't belong to this group, shut the fuck up." "If you haven't shared my experience, shut the fuck up."

We've all seen it.

No, the only people who we should be telling to shut up are people who don't believe in objective moral truth because they're all playing a sick game with us.

It's a convenience that we must not and shall not afford to anyone to be as pious and certain and vindictive and absolutist as anyone else about how people should act - how society should organize itself - and passionately dictate the confines of acceptable speech and ideas just to fall back on the statement, "There's no moral truth."

If you're behaving like that and you don't believe in objective moral truth, I don't even think that Robert Heinlein imagined the level of self love that you're experiencing.
