Man and a butterfly
One man was so fascinated by butterflies that he watched them fly for hours. In their desire to get to know them better, he studied their unusual path of transformation and creation.
So one day he noticed a tiny hole in the butterfly cocoon. The man sat and watched how butterfly struggled for a few hours energetically to pull his weak body through that tiny hole.
Then the butterfly stopped. It seemed he could not go further and he gave up. That's why man decided to help him. He went home, took small scissors and cut the cocoon so that the opening was big enough.
The butterfly came out with ease, but he had a fragile body and a shrunken wings. Man continued to watch, expecting wings to open, to spread, support and strengthen butterfly's body and to raise him like others in unknown and undetected heights.
However, nothing has happened! Butterfly spent his entire short life crawling around with his weak body and undeveloped wings. He never managed to take off and fly.
In spite of his kindness and good intentions, man did not understand that the difficulties that butterfly had to pass through coming out from the cocoon is a part of his course.
So, by the time he releases the cocoon he is strong enough, resistant and ready for his first flight.
Sometimes we need such difficulties in our lives. Religious people say that, when God loves someone, he puts him to temptation. Without all these obstacles, problems, temptations and difficulties we would never have become as powerful, resistant or capable as we are now.
So, next time you come into troubles, you know that this is an indispensable part of the development and purpose of that is to empower us and to teach something important.
When you want to help some person, you could rather offer that person a fishing hook instead of a fish, because the greatest wealth we can offer to someone is to reveal him his own wealth.
