The cult of agreeability

I follow many different people who I generally find much disagreement with and I do so because it affords me a very valuable function: to challenge my own ideas and perspective and if not leave my contentions for others as seeds to sprout in good time.

What I see happening is this nausea inducing parroting of whatever an article was about and it's becoming so prevailing that it's hard to find any people here who value a different perspective or a contention to their ideas, or it seems most have quietly given up the thankless job of voicing disagreement.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

The echo chamber of agreeability is disdained by any intellectual worth their salt and for good reason. Agreement, especially the parroting of the article peppered with the ego boosting vain talk masked as compliments, is nothing more than warm butter to the iron. It lubes the blade and for many they are more than satisfied, while some enjoy the vomited garbage and regurgitate it once again in some incessant need to hear themselves or get the last word. Any person who values those things generally recoils from disagreement by labeling it as "negative" or "toxic", with an attitude of "the nerve!" and as is usual, they couldn't explain why and how it is so because honestly they expect others to position themselves at their rectum and chow away at whatever turd is released, how dare you question my judgement.

The proverb is thus lost on them, no matter how great the weather, they are a field of bolders and rocks, they who'd never dare follow someone they disagree with and could hardly consider a contention in their state of cognitive dissonance. I'm not sure what else to call this behavior of regurgitated turds besides cultish, as many echo chambers form around the same trite and meaningless memes, so lets hear some Amen, which paradoxically I'll take the silence as that, because as real recognizes real, I know who you are.
