Most of us seem to transverse life in a mere mortal state of consciousness, existing outside the bounds of our true potential. Such a restricted state of mind serves as a hindrance for manifesting anything beyond average; except perhaps by chance.
This may be the primary reason your efforts have been producing less than optimum results. Perhaps you need to reconnect with that long lost 'true' sense of self, the one which transcends what you see reflecting back at you in the mirror?
