RE: What is Law? What is Justice? - The case for Radical Violence and Separation of Law and Morality

in #philosophy7 years ago

Very nice work my friend. I see a society that is secure because of a joint effort to make it that way. As you have said, we all look for batman to save us from the baddies but if we were to react instantly and instinctively to crimes against another, it would make the evil path almost impossible to tread. My own security is in the hands of others and theirs is in my hands. If the chain breaks, we all suffer. I like your thinking brother.

We all need to take personal responsibility for our actions and their consequences. If we displace that responsibility into someone's hands, we are not being responsible and not taking things seriously enough. When people consider it their responsibility to keep the neighborhood clean and streets safe for everyone it would also lead them to be hostile against aggression knowing full well that as long as they don't start the mess, they can end the mess and sufferer no legal consequences.

People can take care of themselves and law should allow themselves to do that.
