How to love yourself

Who do we love when we love ourselves?

The first person who we should love is ourselves. People say a lot about their love for themselves. But do we understand this love correctly?

"Enjoy yourself - eat chocolate!" All the common tips on how to love yourself are reduced to this - to indulge your weaknesses, to prefer your interests to the interests of others, to self-deception. As if loving yourself is a completely different thing than loving other people, as if it were made from another test.

Love is a very definite, quite concrete thing. Those properties of love, which I described above, apply to self-love. Hence, those tips on how to love yourself, which give popular magazines, do not really teach us to love ourselves. We are deceived, we are taught only selfishness.

If we want to fill our lives with love, to love and be loved, first of all we must truly love ourselves. We are worthy of true love for ourselves! We are not the last person in our life to get rid of some surrogate from chocolate, massage, expensive toys and other trifles. Love for yourself is a love in which no one can replace us. If we do not love ourselves for real, we will remain unloved ... by ourselves. Although, perhaps, from head to foot in chocolate and expensive caviar.

To understand what is love for yourself, let's remember the properties of true love.

A lover wishes good to his beloved.

And what is good for us? It is a good thing for every person to live in harmony with his conscience, live in joy and love. In order to achieve the meaning of human life, that is, learn to love. And what is needed for this? Work on yourself, learn to love, getting rid of your weaknesses, bad habits.

The lover sees all the brightest, the most beautiful that is hidden in the depths of a loved one. And helps him to discover in himself these best sides.

And what is this bright, this beauty and strength of our soul? Again, in the same - in our kindness, selflessness, love.

What property of love does not take, it turns out that if we want to love ourselves, we must work on ourselves, eradicate our shortcomings, learn to love.

Any person can see by his life that this is the love for himself that he lacks
