2018 Women's Month Celebration---Women' Congress

To celebrate this years International Women"s month with the theme "We can Make Change Work for Women" a Womens Congress was held at the Robinson's Place , Tacloban City,Philippines.

The Congress is sponsored by the Tacloban City Council of Women(TCCW) and Zonta Club of Tacloban City.

Cristina Gonzales Romualdez, beauteous City Mayor of the city and staunch champion of women's welfare delivered an Inspirational Message sporting a glaring orange T shirt , the international color for the Campaign against Violence of Women and Children (VAWC) who emphasized the city's non conventional livelihood programs for women like pipe fitting, air conditioner and refrigerator repair, electricity , carpentry,welding ,plumbing,non conventional beauty treatments like hair color,facials. These programs will be conducted by the city's trainors at the women's places and at a time that are convenient to them

Speakers from the city government offering basic services were likewise invited.

Participants to the congress were entertained by various intermission numbers from the City Center for abused women and girls.

The sponsor give tokens to the children like health kits, foodstuffs and cash.
