There are a lot of varieties of citrus fruits here in our country. This fruit is can be seen almost anywhere here in the Philippines. Rich with vitamin C and is good to consume when you are on a diet as told it would make you eat less. The color is green and does not turn to orange like the usual orange fruit. Dalandan

There is also another variety which looks very similar to the Dalandan and is called Dalanghita. It was confusing for me as I thought that they were the same. But the Dalanghita is smaller and the skin thinner than this fruit. You would notice the pores on the Dalandan which is an indicator to determine which is which.

I got @bearkid up for a challenge to guess if the fruit is sweet or sour. As I know there are some that are sweet but most of the time I get a sour fruit. That I could not determine when buying a Dalandan probably what you could do is have a taste first before you buy. @mhel bought this fruit earlier this morning and none of us knows if it is sweet or sour.

With the help of @bearkid this is how you open a Dalandan. Just peel off the skin like an orange which is very easy. Another thing I remember when I was young my mom used to buy this fruit everytime we ride a bus. I usually get dizzy while on board a bus and sometimes I get sick and vomit. To remedy this my mom bought Dalandan on our trip and used the peels and make me smell them. That did the trick and the dizziness went away and it was a smooth journey.

This is how it looks like when opened maybe we could get a lot and make as juice out of it. Though no one does that here I think.

Now here we go. Sweet or Sour? No one knows and bearkid will soon find out.

Poor @bearkid got a sour experience for the #colorchallenge today but it was fun and she made me eat it instead at the end.
