Dreams of Ice
After the busy New Year we took @bearkid along with her brother and cousins to go skating at one of the largest malls here in our country The Mall of Asia. This is the first time the kids went on ice skating and they were very excited. We do not have snow here in our country and it is quite fascinating to have an ice skating rink here at the mall.
The kids were so thrilled to get on the ice and hurriedly put on the gear provided which were provided.
They would provide the skates, helmets and unlimited time to enjoy the ice.
Here are the prices
Unlimited Skating 450 pesos ($9)
Locker Rental 50 pesos ($1)
Pass for Companion 100 pesos ($2)
Skating Assistant 150 pesos for 30 minutes ($3)
Polar Bear Rental 100 pesos for 1 hour ($2)
Here you could get your skates and select the size that fits you. I'm not sure if you could choose a color that you want as there are a lot of customers and the attendants move very fast to accommodate everyone.
There also provide helmets to ensure safety of the skaters.
Lockers can be rented in case you are on a date and want to leave your belongings to enjoy your magical moment on ice together.
Here is @bearkid all geared up and ready to go. From the four kids she is the most excited to go on skating.
Ready, set GO!............. and they thought it was easy.
The kids hanged on the sides of the rails to keep them from falling down. It looked easy but expectation is different from reality. I would have been there inside with them but I needed to take photos and wouldn't be much help as I also do not know how to skate.
You can also rent polar bears to help with the balance during skating.
Well now looks like my kid (black pants and grey shirt) is getting the flow. After a few minutes he was drifting on ice. He helped the other to get the technique to get balance. What can I say that is my kid out there.
If you are tired or hungry and need a break they have a snack bar. Hot dogs , refreshments and other snacks are available. Though you could bring in food bought from the mall.
After hours of skating @bearkid is tired and was already satisfied with her time on ice.
Though her brother and cousins are still enjoying and are not yet ready to get out of the skating rink. I told them to just have fun and enjoy themselves.
Then it was time for the ice to be resurfaced and everyone needed to get out until it is done.
All the polar bears are lined up and the kids were satisfied. Excited when they will be back again to enjoy the ice. Until then they will just need to have Dreams of Ice until we have a chance again to visit. Maybe I would join them on the time on ice.
Hope you enjoyed our day. Thanks for spending time with us. Cheers!

What a fun thing to do with your kids! Great photos!
(Suggestion...when using a pronoun for a girl, @bearkid , it should be 'her' -not his. His is used for a boy.) 😉
Oh I missed that one thanks for pointing it out appreciate it 😃
Oh good...glad you were not offended! Re-check the first sentence, too. My daughter-in-law is perfecting her English and she appreciates it if we make suggestions and answer her questions. I love those polar bears!
Thanks Melinda I appreciate it that way we can improve and grow. 😊
