My Alma Matter Celebrates 100 years of Producing Life Winners

Last June 20, 2018, just yesterday when University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) celebrated its Centennial Celebration in University Campus at Catarman, Northern Samar. By virtue of a statute, UEP was created as the First State University in Eastern Visayas composing the provinces of Region-8.

This public school offers education from Nursery, Elementary, Secondary (laboratory HS) and College consisting the biggest number of enrollees from the various courses offered on it. The school has a minimum resident population of 15,000 students per semester that was indeed made UEP campus so alive.

Right after my highschool, I took up my tertiary education in this university and even until now in my post-graduate education, still remains loyal to this school.

As this educational institution turns in its 100 years a lot of activities and events were being opened. And even giving centennial awards to those achievers who have given name to UEP in National level were also being acknowledged by the university.

As it turns 100 years, many buildings and landmarks in the campus were also being unveiled like the Centennial Marks, the individuals who have been present in the making of this universities were also being aknowledged.

Among the buildings being opened was the new Mens Dorminatory. A ribbon cutting with University President, NS DII Congressman and the guest, the Chair of Commission of Higher Education (CHED)

Lastly, the University opens a Centennial Fair to the public which was being situated in the field of UEP that was being participated from different provincial agencies, colleges and departments of the university.

At the field you can see different booth presentations. Some others offers foods, native products and souvenirs. Others offers personal service, fish footspa, etc.

At the field where most of the residents of the campus used as a recreational area.

When I got a chance to rove the campus I stayed at the field. Best time to go here is at afternoon around 5pm. Lots of activities happens in here including the free live battle of the bands at night.

And this one is my favorite, at the booth of college of Agriculture they offer fish footspa as part of their presentation and they also sale various type of pet fish..
So here, got a chance to try this kind of footspa. Hahhaa

All in all, everyone enjoyed in the commemoration of UEP as its celebrates its 100years. For the past years, UEP produces hundreds of professional products, and successful individuals now. This institutions has indeed become an agent of change that became part of every individuals who used to study here. Molding them and giving them the kind of education that everyone seeks for. As it turns 100, it is only worth to celebrate and remember how a school institutions marked, shaped lives and gave big impacts to every individuals and to society.
