Philippines Central Bank Approves Licenses For Two Cryptocurrency Exchanges

in #philippines7 years ago

Steemians! Filipinos everywhere!

It is great to finally see that the Philippines particularly BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) is starting to embrace Crypto in the country.

This is but a stepping stone to introduce cryptos further and provide ease of access to Filipinos in the country to buying cryptos easier let alone trade them.

There are plenty of uses for crypto currencies that many here can take advantage of, it is only a matter of time. Hopefully the outcome would be as positive as I would expect.

“We see a rapid increase in the trajectory [of virtual currency]. It is coming from a small base but increasing. That is why we decided to require [the exchanges] to register."

-Nestor Espenilla Jr.

government in Jamaica thinking to do the same

I am hoping for a positive effect in Jamaica when it happens bro.

What are the name of those exchanges?

Despite the numerous attempts to locate the names of these exchanges, I am still empty. I will make sure to write about it here once we have names. :)

Okay. I thought you have the names. I was also looking on those links you provided but failed to find one. :)
