Halayang Ube - Sweetened Purple Yam

It's the season of purple yam (ube ) and I had taken chance to make halayang ube for the first time.
It's easy to make, it just required time to boil the purple yam for for 40 minutes then a little bit of pour and mix, then that's it.

Purple Yam ( ube ) is highly nutritious starchy root that is a rich source of carbs, potassium &
vitamin C.
It's great source of antioxidant, aids to maintain blood sugar level and helps lowers blood pressure.

With this recipe, I poured condensed milk and a little bit of brown sugar, vanilla essence to the grated purple yam, mix under low fire, until your desired texture and consistency. Let it cold. chill to ref for an hour.
And your halayang ube is ready! 😁
