Breath of Fresh Air out of the City in A beautiful Mountain Resort.

With strong urge for a quick Easter getaway from the city, hassle free and obviously not damaging our shallow pockets, we set out for Paradise Hill mountain resort located in Brgy Buluang , Compostela, North of Cebu.

Its a newly opened resort that started its operations last march 18,2018 . The resort is still under its soft opening.

We boarded a Vhire from SM city Cebu that was headed to Danao for 50 pesos only. As we approached Compostela, we signalled the driver to drop us at "skina Buluang". Being a holiday, it took us less than an hour from SM city Cebu to Buluang Compostela. 40 minutes to be precise.
The drop off area is well known by the drivers, because it is also the same drop off for those heading to Q park( The place where there is the 41 foot statue of the Blessed virgin Mary).

The skina Buluang junction as very packed that day, most of who seemed like visitors heading to Q park, especially because it was Holy week.
We had carried packed lunch from home, but needed some lechon manok "grilled chicken" and Tubig (water) . luckily there was a manok griller just opposite the drop off and many shops around, for those who want to have a meal , there were many karenderias around there as well. & Our manok was 190php.
We boarded a habal habal (motorbike) to Paradise Hill Mountain resort, for 20 pesos each.

On reaching the resort, we paid 100 pesos per head for adults at the entrance. I am told its 50 pesos for kids. We were not charged any corkage for the food and drinks that we brought.

Since it was just the 2 of us, there was no need to rent a cottage for the day, we then settled for a table (with 4 chairs) and an umbrella, right beside one of the pools, for 300 pesos. The cottages are 500 pesos, for all day use.

The resort &still under construction, so there was alot of piles of cement and a sight of unfinished construction,even in the comfort & but that was not a problem at all, everything was functional and manageable.

The resort had quite a number of people, so the pool was already very packed, also the sun was shinning in its full glory that . We decided to just have our lunch and chill as we wait for the pool to be less congested. It was round 12noon, so we had all the time to laze around and enjoy the breathtaking view of the greenery & breath taking view sorounding this resort.

Ofcourse we were wrong, the pool did not get any less congested. Intact as the day progressed, more people kept pouring in, it was a holiday, so this was much expected. Never the less , we decided to enjoy the remaining hours before heading back to the city.

We decided to go to the upper pool, which is also the kiddie pool, and were able to capture this view.

Highlight of the resort, aside from its breath taking view of course, was the jacuzzi. All jaccuzis are usually a favorite. We ended up spending rest of the day there , untill sunset.

Expenses per head in Php(minus the tubig and lechon manok, and food)

Habal habal (to and from)= 40
Entrance = 100
Table =300/2= 150

Total 390 pesos, $7.6.

I know right, another reason why i love the Philippines, you don't have to be wealthy to enjoy Life,
