Exploring The Island of Coron Palawan Philippines.

Today I woke up in the morning feeling quite hungry And excited. I was going to swimming and snorkeling later, so I needed some energy.
I had a pasta and chicken for breakfastAfter that I was picked up by the tour operator for my island-hopping tour.

But it was a long wait before we departed because we were waiting for some more people

Our first stop was at the nearby Siete Pecados Marine Park

When we put on our snorkeling mask and went into the waters, lots of color fishes greeted us. Corals were alive and colorful that you will really enjoyed the view below. The fishies surrounded us. Our boatman gave us bread for us to feed the fish and they become a bit excited that some of us felt that we were bitted by them! Too bad we do not have any protective gear for our cameras nor an underwater cam to document what we saw. I guess it’s time for me to save up and buy one.

that I forgot it was time to leave.
I went back to the boat as most of the other tourists in our group had gotten out of the water.
We moved on again to the next island.
Kayangan Lake is one of two lakes in Coron island (out of 8 lakes) that are open to the public. There is a steep 10-15 minute uphill climb of approximately 300 steps towards the inland lake. Midway through the climb is a view deck overlooking the lagoon.

For those that do not want to climb 300 steps, an alternative is the nearby Barracuda Lake which only has 30-40 steps.

Kayangan Lake, dubbed the 'cleanest lake in the Philippines', is surrounded by a karst scenery of limestone cliffs and guarded maintained by Tagbanua tribesmen.

Kayangan Lake is 70% freshwater and 30% salt water. One may choose to swim or snorkel in the lake, or simply float around in a life jacket.

You have to do a short trek in order for you to reach the lake cause it’s in the middle of the surrounding limestone mountains. It was a bit hard for the steps are made up of unpolished stones. Since it drizzled, the path was a bit muddy and slippery.

Upon reaching the top, you have 2 paths to go to. The first we took was the one going to the fantastic view of the popular Blue Lagoon. This is the most photographed part of Coron and the view is breathtaking!

After a few camwhoring events, we went to another path to reach the lake. The water is clear but really deep.

We did enjoyed our stay here but it was a bit crowded when we went here and prefer to have a peaceful venue. After a good hour of stay, we went back to our boat and went to our next destination:
Aside from Kayangan Lake, the fascinating island of Coron is also home to the famous Twin Lagoon. This are two lagoons divided by a huge wall of limestone wall, and the only way to get to the other lagoon was to either swim through the hole or climb the wooden stairs.

The Identical Beauty of Twin Lagoon

As our boat cruise to the ingress of the lagoon, everybody hold their breath as magnificent limestone rock formations salute us on our way to the dock of twin lagoon, it was an extensive period of silence, we were amazed how nature created this one of a kind marvel. Upon influx to the first, crystal clear water greeted and we just let our body to adrift to the quay. After awakening to this wonderful dream and realizing that wasn't reverie, we walked towards the second lagoon through a man-made bridge, swam in a fresh water with mixture of salt water, alternating cold and warm water freely touched our skin. Twin lagoon is really one of the highlights of Coron's island hopping experience.

Note: During high tide, it is more likely impossible to cross the hole underneath the rock, but you can use the ladder in order to witness the second lagoon. Ask your boatman to bring you at twin lagoon during the low tide hours. Enjoy island hopping!

Here we go again we're going to the Last island Malcapuya.

Palawan does not run out of fine, white sand beaches and Malcapuya Island in Coron is one of them. The fine white sand on the island is perfect for a lazy day on the beach. Sink your feet into its powdery white sand and cool down in its turquoise waters. It was perfect place for me to relax. after all day long Swimming, its time to go back to the hotel to get some rest for tommorow activities. Hope you like it guys!
