LOOKING THINGS POSITIVELY #1: WAITING FOR A JEEPNEY!

Good day Steemians! How are you today?

It has been my dream to inspire people and while I was meditating last night as to what would be my next posts for tomorrow, I come up to an idea to make a series of Looking Things Positively.

AIM: To inspire people to look things positively amidst struggles.

Since, this is my first edition of this series. I will be talking about the struggles in WAITING FOR A JEEPNEY IN THE PHILIPPINES and how to make it positive.

If you are a commuter here in the Philippines, you can surely relate to this article. I apologize if I will confine myself in the Philippines set-up because I don't have any idea with the transportation system in other country.

To give you a background, one of the means of transporation here in the Philippines is by commuting with a Jeepney. It is a four-wheel vehicle that can accomodate 16-20 passengers including the front seat. We usually call our chauffeur here as drivers and sometimes he is assisted with a conductor "konduktor". These jeepneys can usually be found in highways.

It is already a norm here to wait for a jeepney for us to be able to use the service. Waiting seems to be an agony especially if it's already peak hours: many commuters less available jeepneys. 😜

Isn't it stressful?

Really stressful if you are hurrying to school or work PLUS the congestion of TRAFFIC!

But how can you look it positively?

1. ASSOCIATE IT WITH YOUR PERSONAL LIFE

Waiting for jeepneys can be associated to our personal life.

Let's put the situation in this way:

It's been more than 30 minutes of waiting for a jeepney but still there's none.

Now, think that waiting for a jeepney is just like your waiting for a perfect person to complete your life. A person that can be your companion for your journey. For sure, that person will come to your life on the right time, right place and right moment like a jeepney. The jeepney that is destined to serve you will come at the right time, right place, and right moment.

Luckily, after waiting for more than 30 minutes here comes a jeepney.

It has many passengers already and the first question is, AM I GOTTA FIT IN?. True right? Yes you can fit if you just believe. 😊

Think that those people in the jeepney is the same with the people that will help you in your life's journey. It's a fact that in our life we will meet different people whom may help us all throughout the journey and there are some who will just leave us. Same in a jeepney, there are people who will be with you until you arrive in your destination and there are people who will leave you because they have already reached there destination.

The driver in a jeepney is comparable to your parents who will guide you along the way to reach your destination in life. The conductor is your godmothers and godfathers who will always be there to help you parents in guiding you.

The traffic lights will be your guide when to pause, stop and go and the road signs will help you to follow what is right and just.

By the way, the jeepney itself is your medium to reach your destination and in life there are many things that will help us reach the top.

2. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

"Patience is a virtue" has been a common saying here in the Philippines because most of the systems here needs to have much patience.

To reduce the reproduction of your stress hormones just think that waiting for a jeepney is helpful in extending your patience. That will somehow help you to be patient not just in the scenario of waiting for a jeepney but also in the aspect of your life like, waiting for the right one.

3. AVENUE FOR STEEMING

This is the best advice that I can give to you. You are a steemian then use it at this time. While waiting, don't be stressed and just be happy. You have so much time in steeming.

These are the following activities that you can do:

1. Capture photos in your surroundings and think of possible topic about it;
2. Make a draft for your next article; and
3. Upvotes, comments, and resteem posts of other steemians. Meaning, interact with other steemians.
