Celestial Challenge Thursday - FORCES OF NATURE
Before 2017 end, Typhoon Vinta left devastating scene mostly area of Southern Philippines. There were estimated 164 dead and 170 still missing, mostly killed by landslides and flood. Officials said because of continuous logging in the mountain, landslides happened and mostly casualties where swept off by the strong flood and leaving communities buried in mud.

Government sent their rescue team to the affected provinces. There were estimated 21,000 evacuees moved to evacuation centers and were given the proper assistance basically food, clothes and medicine. Residents thought that Typhoon Vinta is weak and were not prepared of the sudden rushed of the flood.

Flood - a natural disaster as a result of water on earth. It is a problem in most developing nations. Nice one.

yeah, it was a sad way for 2017 to leave and not a good way to start 2018. Up to now the weather here in the Visayas is still gloomy.
