To say that trust is the essential characteristic of a good relationship is stating the obvious. But how can you trust an adolescent girl who is testing her parents' limits and struggling to define herself?

Trust means a reliance on the integrity or the ability of another, a dependence on someone not to let you down. It is a leap of faith, giving up control and risking the possibility that the person will not live up to your expectations. However, 'if you don't take the risk, you don't trust'.

Women know that every time a spouse a leaves the house, there is the risk of losing him. Although most couples understand this possibility, they rely on each other's trustworthiness and don't make an issue of it.

TRUST CAN BE BROKEN.

To have a strong relationship with your loved ones, trust them, but be prepared to deal with broken trust.
