As we all know now this is turn to be the Easter week. Easter is all set to knock on this year on 25th of March. The first day of the Holy week is Palm Sunday and the Palm Sunday is rejoices in the memory of Jesus who arrived on the Jerusalem.

Palm Sunday is a christian moveable feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter. The feast commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, an event mentioned in each of the four canonical Gospels. It initiates Holy Week, the last week of Lent.

As per legend actually, at the time when Jesus entered Jerusalem, he was sit on a donkey. The road was covered with some rock so in that time people of jerusalem covered the roads with Palm leaves so that the donkey will not be harm with these rocks.

During Palm Sunday Mass, palms are distributed to parishioners who carry them in a ritual procession into church. The palms are blessed and many people will fashion them into small crosses or other items of personal devotion. These may be returned to the church, or kept for the year.

Because the palms are blessed, the may not be discarded as trash, instead, they are appropriately gathered at the church and incinerated to create the ashes that will ne used in the follow year's Ash Wednesday observance.
