Cottonballs in Oslob's Skies and The Pursuit for Fish Kinilaw

So Sunday afternoon, James (@panoramicview) and I went out to look for freshly caught fish so we can make kinilaw, a type of fish which includes raw boneless fish cooked in vinegar with spices in it and my favorite, coconut milk.

We were in Oslob actually because of the long weekend. There's a specific area in their community where freshly caught fishes are brought in for middle men to buy their fishes in bulk. When we arrived, the person attending told us the fishermen has not arrived yet.

To kill time since he mentioned they'll come at aroundsix in the evening, we went farther to the nearby seawall while we wait. James was prepared with his drone and flew it. I, on the other hand took photos on my mobile phone. I noticed the clouds above were looking like cotton balls!

The front view is the Cebu sea and since we were seated at the seawall top, the rocky beach shore was visible from there.

It was already getting dark yet there was no text or call from the vendor, we left our contact number so they could advise us once the fishermen arrive.

The sun was ready setting, the yellow-orange-red clouds signifies that it was sunset already. We decided to just go to the market because it was past six and dinner should be served in an hour or two.

Gladly, we found some fresh catch in the market. We bought half kilo, James made the kinilaw while I grilled some bigger fishes. I forgot to take a photo while cooking but I have here a shot of the yummy kinilaw, its a bit blurry because I was taking the photo in a hurry.

I ate a lot of rice mind you! The right sweet and spicyness was there plus the tenderness of the fish meat plus the coconut milk fulfilled our hungry tummies!
