Learning Pangasinan Series #3: Calasiao, and Vocabulary Lessons

It is the third part of the "Learning Pangasinan" series, and the theme for this chapter is Calasiao.

As seen at the photo above which shows "I Love Calasiao", it was taken near the Municipal Hall. Calasiao is a town in central Pangasinan, close to Dagupan City. It is a progressive town, and highly urbanized which is an advantage being close to Dagupan City.

Calasiao is the "Puto Capital of the World". Puto is a delicacy made of rice. If you visit Calasiao, make sure you will buy puto for your family as pasalubong.

Puto Calasiao is often partnered with Pancit as shown at the photo above. It comes out with white and yellow variations.
