What is Social Media in the present day? Is it helpful for fast communication? What are its effects on citizens especially among young people? Social Media is an Internet-based software that allows the individual to interact with the exchange of their life that can be biographical date, professional information, personal pictures, and whatever you want to share with the world . Currently, over two billion people are actively using social media in the world.

It helps because we have more information and more knowledge. There are different types of social media, the most popular is "Facebook" where users can send messages, upload photos, videos, chat or communicate across the globe. Its effect is happening in our world, modernization and much change. This includes changing student perspectives on the products of modern technology, interest in online games, even the way they engage with others. Long-term students are now choosing to go to a computer shop to open their account, play online games rather than visiting the library. Often it's losing to listen to what teachers teach because social media has taken their attention.

Despite the advantages and disadvantages that social media is available and available, we still depend on how we use it. Will we use it properly or abuse that will cause the destruction of our study and life.      Social media has become a vital instrument of our life as a student, but it also has a bad effect when it is not used in the right way. So we young people should control ourselves by using them so that we can live a good life.
