My last 2 posts in Steemit are almost completely in the Filipino language (the piece themselves - only the disclaimers are in English). This is to try and promote growth and quality in the Philippine Steemit communities. I've mentioned these words in my last 2 posts:

My fellow Filipinos! This post announces my intention to help our community grow in Steemit. I've written it with more profound words. I am encouraging/inviting you all to post blogs that are in our own tongue: Filipino or other dialects (Visayan, Ilocano, Bicolano, etc.) which showcases unique Filipino culture: this includes the beautiful nature and scenery that we have, our literature, arts, and all other topics that you can write about. Just post it here in Steemit and use the tags #pilipinas or #philippines. Pilipinas tag for posts in our local languages and Philippines tag for those in English. If possible - you may include an English translation for your posts.

In light of that I present to you a preview of a curation project we're having:

Bayanihan Curation

We, the curators, have started using Cover Images showing the logo I created for the Bayanihan Team with the words: 'Bayanihan' & 'Curation'. That logo and those 2 words will be further explained in our official announcement, we don't have an official date for it yet. We're just providing previews like this in posts, comments, chats, and now through the new feature: having a cover image on our blogs.

The only thing I can disclose to you about this curation project is that we look for specific tags: #philippines & #pilipinas, as much as possible. However, we do not limit curation to posts tagged with those, we consider anything that's showing it's Filipino and by a Filipino anywhere in the world or by anyone Philippine-based and promotes community growth. Also, as you know curation projects like this (also @ocd & @curie among others) focus on finding only posts that are worthy of the curation upvote.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our benefactors, as well as the whole curation team that's making this amazing project possible. This really shows the 'Bayanihan' spirit of us Filipinos.

Note: Bayanihan Curation images are solely for the use of the team/benefactors, we may provide open-source graphics in the future for people who would like to show support. The only time you can use these images is when promoting the Bayanihan project. Thanks!

Donate A Library

It was previously planned in @philippinetrail to do a crowdfunding for a library (shelf & books) that we can donate to one of Jesus is Alive's community church, in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. Their Sunday school is in need of books that children can read and learn from, we're planning to donate a shelf & books of different genres (mostly biblical books for kids, we will opt to add educational books as well, possibly adding books about new technologies today - e.g: block chains & cryptocurrencies.). It's a small community church and most attendees are from poor families living in a certain barangay in Calamba.

This will be handled by our @steemph family, we may start looking for books as early as next week. You can start sending your donations directly to @steemph, just indicate it’s for “Donate A Library” in your memo. On top of that, we will be giving out updates about this project, of which earnings will be donated and used for this cause.

Art Guild PH

What is it? It is an Art Guild based in Steemit.com composed of Filipino Steemian Artists. Posts may use the #artguildph tag.. We’re keeping a blog at https://blog.artguildph.rocks/ to consolidate all the announcements into one home. #artguildph will be hosted by @steemph.

How will Art Guild PH work?

@steemph will be hosting this guild’s announcements. There will be weekly announcements set up, containing news about the guild or updates, featured Filipino artists, a weekly contest (may be open to everyone or exclusive to guild members), a member list (or a shortcut to it), a Guild Moderator list (with a few words that can be fixed or dynamic - mini-announcements), and guild resources (this may include tags, headers, banners, footers, badges/stamps, important links, etc)

The guild moderators (or GMs) can make announcements by themselves if they choose to, they are the core of the guild. Weekly posts has to be reviewed by at least 2 GMs.

We will feature 1 Filipino Steemian Artist per week. Featured artist will get a portion of either the liquid SBD of the weekly post or have portion of the SP delegated to them or both (Featured artist will also have an option to refuse receiving proceeds and have their part added into the pool for donations/charities).

Here's a brief info as announced on the last Steem Philippines server:

In the new server we have created channels specific to interest groups, various projects and community run initiatives, and channels dedicated to what u want most. We have also partnered with other communities and also brought in some of the various bots that everyone enjoys - this also means your settings and stats from other communities will be preserved. We have whalebot, banjo, tasumaki, amybot translate bot, as well as our own created bot KuyaBot for you to use. We also have a few voice channels as well as a DJ channel where you can request and stream music 24/7 with our bots and community members serving as DJs. We also have karaoke if you are so inclined to share your talent. We have been testing and continuously refining the server to ensure you have an enjoyable experience and a place where we can guide and help everyone succeed together. The server is a work in progress and we are making updates on an hourly and daily basis to continue making it better. This server is yours, so feel free to let us know what you want to see. In a couple of weeks I will be removing all admin rights from the current admins - including myself and will have the community elect their new admins. This is a community so admins will be selected by the community.
